Performance characteristics of composite insulators:
1. Small in size and light in weight, about 1/5~1/9 of the same voltage level of porcelain insulators, easy to transport and install.
2. Composite insulators have high mechanical strength, reliable structure, stable performance, and large safety operation margin, which provides a guarantee for the line and safe operation.
3. Composite insulators have superior electrical properties. Silicone rubber sheds have good hydrophobicity and mobility, good pollution resistance, and strong anti-pollution flashover ability. They can operate safely in heavily polluted areas, and do not require manual cleaning, and can be exempted from testing Zero value maintenance.
4. Composite insulators have the characteristics of acid resistance, alkali resistance, heat aging resistance and electrical resistance, good sealing performance, and can ensure that the internal insulation is not damp.
5. Composite insulators have good brittleness resistance, strong shock resistance, and no brittle fracture accidents.
6. Composite insulators are interchangeable and can be used interchangeably with porcelain and other insulators
