How to prevent insulator flashover in substations?

(1) Add basic insulation. If the number of insulators is increased and the distance of surface discharge is increased, the leakage specific distance specified for pollution classification can be met.
(2) Strengthen cleaning. The ceramic insulation in dirty areas must be regularly cleaned to keep the surface of the ceramic insulation clean and prevent contamination flashover. Rinsing with charged water is an effective method.
(3) Use dustproof coating. When the effective leakage distance of ceramic insulation in dirty areas cannot meet the requirements and the cleaning workload needs to be reduced, methods such as applying silicone oil and floor wax are often used to increase the pollution flashover voltage and prevent pollution flashover accidents.
(4) Using semiconductor sleeve insulators and silicone rubber insulators.
